Thanks for stopping by!
Hi, I'm Sofiya and first and foremost, I’m a mother to a mischievous little girl who’s taught me to truly appreciate sleep while it lasts. She’s also been my inspiration to pursue the path of becoming a sleep specialist. Today, I’m proud to be an OCN Level 6 certified baby sleep consultant.
My background is in social research and statistics, and I find the science behind sleep fascinating. When I was looking for help with my daughter’s sleep, I found it incredibly difficult to navigate the overwhelming - and often conflicting - information online, much of which wasn’t backed by science. Since then, it’s become my mission to challenge outdated advice and misinformation about infant and child sleep, to promote what’s biologically normal, and to empower parents with knowledge that’s rooted in both science and attachment.
My Story
Nothing could have prepared me for the sheer exhaustion I experienced in the first few months after my daughter was born. The constant lack of sleep and the intensity of looking after a little human started taking its toll on my mental health, and I was becoming increasingly irritable and impatient with my little girl.
I knew she deserved better than that and something had to change.
Not knowing there was an alternative approach, and out of utter desperation and exhaustion, I decided to sleep train my daughter in the hope of getting some much-needed rest. Luckily, she is an easy-going child and it only took a couple of days to see significant improvements.
The process may have 'fixed' her sleep (at the time!) but it definitely 'broke' me.
I promised myself that I'd never do it again, because I just couldn't bear the thought of not responding to her when she needed me. I knew there must be another way to get more rest
...without compromising on my parental instincts and values.
That's when I came across the amazing Lyndsey Hookway and her Holistic Sleep Coaching Programme, and the rest is history!
I am now a fully certified and insured early years sleep specialist, and I feel incredibly privileged to offer families free education and support that aligns with their values. Rather than prescriptive methods or traditional sleep training, I provide knowledge and gentle guidance to help parents better understand their child’s sleep through a lens of connection, biology, and attachment. It’s an honour to walk alongside families as they grow in confidence and deepen their trust - in themselves, and in their little ones.

My sleep philosophy
No two children, or families, are the same and that’s why I don’t believe in offering one-size-fits-all sleep solutions, nor in dictating steps for families to follow in pursuit of “perfect” sleep. Instead, my work centres on education and support that honours the uniqueness of each child, and the wisdom already present in their caregivers.
I aim to equip parents with a deeper understanding of biologically normal infant and child sleep, so they can make informed choices with confidence and clarity, not confusion or fear. Through my voluntary sleep work, I advocate for a gentler, more respectful approach to sleep that supports healthy development without compromising connection.
Rather than fixating on “fixes,” I invite families to explore the why behind their child’s sleep, taking into account not just age and developmental stage, but also things like temperament, environment, sensory needs, health, family context, and more. My educational content, resources, and guidance are designed to help you ask reflective questions such as:
-
What feels realistic and sustainable for our family right now?
-
What’s developmentally appropriate and what’s being influenced by cultural expectations or pressure?
-
How can we protect our emotional connection while gently supporting better rest for everyone?
This is not about choosing between your needs and your child’s. It’s about understanding them both and finding the rhythm that allows rest, connection and emotional well-being to coexist.
I don’t promote quick fixes. But I do offer knowledge, compassion, and a framework grounded in both science and attachment - so you can feel empowered, not pressured. Because sleep isn’t something we train children to do, it’s something we support them in, with patience, trust, and care.
And please remember:
Struggling with your child’s sleep does not mean you’ve failed, it means you’re human, and you care deeply.
